Twelve grapes

Today we say goodbye to 2012, the year of my first post. It's hard to believe I have left 9 months of pictures and recipes behind...

And at this stage, I guess that most of you - at least where I live - have the (12) grapes ready for tonight, right? Well so, to wrap up the year, here you have a refreshing way to have the fruit:

INGREDIENTS
750gr white grapes (washed, rinsed and destemmed)
50ml water (mineral water)
50ml cava (or white wine)

In a saucepan combine the grapes and water. Cook over medium heat, stirring occasionally, until the grapes are soft. Remove from heat, pass the grapes through a fine strainer and press until all of the juice is released. Add the cava and stir. Pour mixture into a shallow plastic container and place it in freezer. After one hour, scrape the semi-frozen granita using of a fork to create icy flakes. Continue to freeze for 2 hours. Scrape again to to get it all loosened up. Cover with the lid and keep in the freezer until ready to serve. To serve, spoon granita into small glasses.

Hope you have a great New Year's Eve and all the best for the coming year!

INGREDIENTS
750gr raïm blanc (rentat, esbandit i net de cues)
50 ml d'aigua (aigua mineral)

Bona revetlla de cap d'any i feliç 2013!!

  11. This is probably the best way to keep the tradition and celebrate your first year! Especially when it´s summer, like here.
